Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to buy your supplements?

We have pharmaceutical grade supplements that are not available without a healthcare practitioner's license. They are stronger than what's available in stores and more easily assimilated by the body due to the nutrient's form. This results in fewer pills and better results. We have noticed many times over that OTC supplements are not as effective for patients.

Do you take insurance?

No, but we will furnish a Superbill, along with ICD-10 codes and CPT codes for your insurance company if you wish to be reimbursed.

If you are seeing Lisa, it's best to see if your insurance has CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) coverage before you come. Make sure a Doctor of Oriental Medicine visit is covered. Insurance does NOT pay for supplements/herbs.

Dr. MacIsaac is a Medical Doctor and offers superbills for all of her visits.  Your coverage will depend on your plan.

Often a Flex Spending Account will cover our services.

What kind of practitioners do you have there?

  • Lisa Beaury - Owner, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Functional / Integrative Wellness Specialist

  • Dr. Kathleen MacIsaac, MD

All of our remedies are herbal, homeopathic or vitamin based.

We refer patients as needed to Chiropractors, Mental Health Counselors and other various practitioners.

Can I pay in installments?

No. We have tried this in the past numerous times and it is just not in the best interest of the practice.

Do you have any experience treating my disease?

Regardless of the diagnosis you may have been given, we approach wellness very similarly with everyone. Healing the body is like peeling the layers of an onion and we start the most prevalent items for each person and work deeper as we move through appointments. Please feel free to call the office if you want to discuss your case before you come in.

I came there a long time ago; do I need a new patient appointment?

Generally speaking, anyone who has not been here in more than three years needs a new patient appointment.

I can’t come for an appointment. What can I do to help myself?

Everyone is different and we pride ourselves on coming up with a personalized plan for each patient. But, if you are currently eating the Standard American Diet, not getting exercise and not taking quiet time, these three tips can get you a long way!

I saw on your website that you do lab testing. Do I have to have the lab work done? Can you explain the details?

We offer many types of lab testing. Sometimes these tests are required for treatment. Depending on the patient's condition, working without them can be like working blindfolded. We take the requirements on a case by case basis.
